Opuntia rufida
O. rufida is general found in the Big Bend area of Texas, and south into Mexico. A technical description of the taxon is provided by the Flora of North America online. The description in the Proceedings of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences (vol. 8, pg. 298, 1856) provides interesting information.
